Finnway International School is delighted to offer an enriching array of academic classes as part of our After-School Programme for Term 3 of the academic year 2023/2024. Designed to cater to the diverse linguistic needs of our students, we provide engaging language courses in Chinese, English, Thai, and Spanish. These classes are specifically tailored for both kindergarten and primary level students, ensuring a holistic and immersive learning experience. Finnway offer both 1-1 and small group English language lessons. Both of these options offer individualised learning from our experienced teachers who will work to learn your child’s interests to help engage them in furthering their English language skills.
For 1-1 lessons, parents can also discuss with the assigned teacher if they have specific areas, they would like their child to improve on.
For group lessons, children are mixed by ability and not by age. This helps ensure learning is appropriate for their development and encourages learning across
Russian Group

Russian Group classes run by Teacher Yulia are for children who are already able to speak Russian. These classes aim to improve children’s Russian speaking, reading and writing skills.
Beginner Spanish Group

The beginner Spanish classes run by Teacher Maria, have the aim to introduce the Spanish language to new students in an approachable, fun and play-based way. Each term, students learn new sets of vocabulary through the use of games, each theme is then consolidated in the following lesson to ensure progressive learning.

The beginner Thai classes run by Kru Nut have the aim to introduce the Thai language to students through art and craft-based activities. Children learn different themes and vocabulary for everyday use.

The students work with the manual “Lola and Leo 1”, covering level A.1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each term new vocabulary and themes are introduced to help children progress in their Spanish learning journey.

The Grade 1 to Grade 5 English Creative Writing After School Club nurtures young writers, fostering storytelling skills and confidence. Through interactive activities and games, students explore imagination and learn writing techniques. Sessions adapt to students’ grade levels, progressing from basic storytelling to more complex narratives. The club emphasizes creativity, peer feedback, and personalized mentorship, providing a supportive environment for students to develop their writing abilities and express their unique voices.
