INFORMATION FOR AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

LEGO CREATIVE BY ME-iZONE

It is simply a program that brings learning concepts to life. It is pure hands-on work, construction, and building base, along with basic engineering skills, colours, and shapes recognition, and most importantly a fun time for the kids. Classes will engage kids to work on engineering structure, manual gear commands, creative design through colours and shapes, strategic blocks and bricks to engage critical thinking, stimulate intelligence, creativity, basic
life skills, and teamwork.

JUNIOR ROBOTICS BY ME-iZONE

It is all about having fun building easy Robots, and programming them to move as we want.
This program will train the little kids to understand gear commands and building technics, communicate
through colours, shapes, and images, perform easy coding with writing blocks.

ROBOTICS & CODING BY ME-iZONE

It is a hands-on, project-based and advanced Programming course to engage kids in tech lab, engineering, and having exceptional fun with the STEM concept. This course will train kids to communicate through code, develop logical thinking and crack missions by using building skills to create robots and coding skills to command them.

TENNIS PROGRAMS FOR JUNIORS

In Oceanic, our coaches use progressive Tennis such as modified courts, racquets and balls scaled to maximise learning for different levels and/or age groups. Just like many other sports, scaling the game down to the size of the child speeds up the learning process and makes the game more fun. Moreover, we believe tennis has the ability to support juniors to lead healthy and active lifestyles and also develop the employability skills they need to achieve their future aspirations. In Oceanic, as young as 3 years, can join our junior tennis programs.

Mini Tennis (Red Ball) – Beginner
It is similar to the real game and children will get the opportunities to have long rallies like the real game and play different types of shots. The size of the court will be the same as the Tots tennis meanwhile rackets can be slightly bigger depending on the physical abilities of the children.

Mini Tennis (Orange Ball) – Pre-Intermediate
It gives players the chance to develop a well-rounded game and children will learn the basic tactic of the game. The courts are slightly smaller than the full-sized court and bigger rackets will be used

  • This price is including school transportation (Round trip) and 2 chaperones
  • Tennis racket, ball and fully vaccinated coach for group learning (provided at THE OCEANIC TENNIS COURT)
  • Indoor court
  • Kids need to bring their own water bottles, sports shoes, socks, and personal necessary things

ICE SKATING

Ice Skating at Ice Arena Phuket. Phuket’s first and only ice-skating school with a unique learning curriculum registered with the Thai Ministry of Education. Is available all year round with a variety of ice skating sessions.

Beginner & Lower Intermediate level:
The child has never ice skated before, or only started with our beginner level last term. Still not able to ice skate independently.

Pre-Intermediate level:
The child is able to ice skate independently without assistance.

  • This price is including school transportation (Round trip) and 2 chaperones
  • Skating boots and instructor are provided at Ice Arena Phuket Boat Lagoon
  • Kids need to bring their own gloves, knee socks (long and thick), knee & arm guards, and jacket, sweater, or coat)

GYMNASTICS

Coach Jessica has a Bachelor’s degree in child and youth education with a focus on gymnastics and a recent diploma from British Gymnastics and more recently an advanced accreditation from Gymnastics Australia WAG intermediate. Head Coach Jessica also has valid first aid and CPR AED education with extra care for children.

Activities:
Kindergarten and Primary gymnasts and some classes will work towards the GC Award Scheme. (Equal to British Gymnastic Internationally recognized BAGA award) Gymnastic sessions will incorporate these skills and will be tested during award week. They will be given the opportunity to work through the award scheme and be presented with their awards (certificate and matching wristband) Awards in May.

WAG and MAG will work towards levels. Gymnastic sessions will incorporate these skills and Gymnasts will be tested on a range of skills during levels week and will be advised which level they have passed. The WAG/MAG gymnasts will be given the opportunity to perform a routine (level chosen by coaches) and be judged during the competition 1st and 2nd of April in BKK. (gymnast’s choice if they want to compete but must wear our Club competition leotard with black shorts must advise Coach Jessica of their size in the first week back of term (i.e. upcoming week as ordering takes 2 months if not in stock with us). We will decide which level they will be performing.
(All go home with medals of competing students in BKK on MAG or WAG floor routine vault and beam & bar & MAG 6 elements)

Competing is not compulsory. If students want to take WAG or MAG classes they have to do a minimum of 2 sessions per week if they are interested to compete.

What to bring:
Students are expected to come to their lessons prepared, with no jewelry:
1 filled bottle of water, barefoot. (Please advise if they have any medical conditions)

DANCE

A certified Dance Teacher:
Kru AOM has 15 years of teaching experience and currently teaching at PIDA Dance Academy. Improving Sustainable Development Dancing skills and creativity.

Abilities:
Dancercise, Weight training for dance, Sports medicine, Core training, Ballet, Street Jazz, Contemporary, Flexibility, and Stretching.

SWIMMING

Australian Swim School Phuket with Teacher Daniel Fazio (Davin’s dad) At Alpha Health Club.

  • This price is including school transportation (Round trip) and 2 chaperones
  • Fully vaccinated teacher for group learning by
  • A locker key and towel will be given to the students and they will be directed to the pool area and pool change room. After the class, the students will return the locker key and towel to reception before leaving. (lost item will be charged a fee)


Beginner Level:
10m pool 1.1 meters deep
(Level 1) – is the first time in the water without parents.
The child must be independent in the water without swim aids and can swim 3 meters using arms and legs.
The students will begin class at 3pm and arrive back at school at 4pm.

Minor Level:
Starting in a 10m pool 1.1 meters deep advancing to 25m pool 1.2 meters deep
(Level 1.5) – being above beginner level but not yet pre-intermediate level.
The child must be independent in the water without swim aids and can swim 3 to 5 meters using arms and legs.

Pre-Intermediate Level:
25m pool 1.2-1.5 meters deep
(Level 2) – being more advanced in the water.
The child must be independent in the water without swim aids and swim 3 to 5 meters with arm circles and no side breathing.

FOOTBALL

Football is a popular sport at Finnway International School, and we are fortunate to have qualified football coaches who are passionate about teaching the game to our students. These coaches have a wealth of experience in coaching children of all ages and skill levels, and they work tirelessly to ensure that every student gets the most out of their football experience.

At Finnway, we believe that football is not just about physical activity but also about building character, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our coaches understand this and work hard to instil these values in every student they work with and are dedicated to helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals.

ACADEMIC CLASSES

All additional language or academic classes will be arranged on days suitable for students based on their choice of other activities. Languages offered: English, Chinese, Spanish, Finnish, Thai.
