Finnway International School is looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced school senior leader to deliver the Head of School role at Finnway International School Phuket, Thailand. The ideal candidate will have had the experience of successfully leading a school as a Deputy Head Teacher or Head of School level with a proven contribution to increased attainment and standards.

Main Responsibilities
- SHAPING THE FUTURE
The Head of School will ensure that his/her leadership demonstrates a commitment to promoting and developing the existing good practice through the search for excellence in all areas of its work.
- LEADING LEARNING AND TEACHING
In partnership with the Head of the Kindergarten and Head of the Primary, the Head of School leads a learning community; search for excellence is given expression in learning and teaching which recognizes pupils’ individual worth. The Head of School will lead the school community in promoting positive attitudes to learning among pupils and staff.
- DEVELOPING SELF AND WORKING WITH OTHERS
The Head of School’s relationships with pupils, parents/carers, Management, and staff should demonstrate a belief in their unique contribution as individuals, valued and respected by all. He/she will recognize and act upon his/her own potential for growth and that of others.
- MANAGING THE ORGANISATION
In Partnership with the Head Teachers, the Head of School is responsible for ensuring that key principles and priorities for the school are evident in its organization and management.
- SECURING ACCOUNTABILITY
The Head of School accounts to the Owners, Deputy Director, parents/carers, and the school’s community for the fulfillment of the school’s vision and its educational success.
- STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY
In Partnership with the Finnway Leadership Team, the Head of School is responsible for the vision of the school to the local and wider community and beyond. He/she will demonstrate a belief that community and school are interdependent and that engagement with the community promotes school development.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of Primary and Kindergarten School leadership experience in international schools
- Proven track record of leading a team to achieve excellence and continuous improvement.
- Have a strong understanding and experience of the Finnish Education System.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Knowledge of local and national education policies and regulations.
- Experience with strategic planning and change management.
