Make a Difference in Young Lives: Teacher Assistant at Finnway!

Finnway, a leading international school in Phuket, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant learning community.

In this rewarding role, you will play a vital role in supporting our lead teachers and enriching the learning experience for our primary school students.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and effective learning activities aligned with the Finnish Approaches to Learning.
• Assist teachers in daily classroom activities, including instruction, supervision, and preparation of teaching materials.
• Foster a stimulating and nurturing learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Lead classroom activities in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Oversee students during non-classroom times, including in-between classes, during lunch, playtime, and on-field excursions.
• Support students with individual or small group instruction.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment, fostering positive student well-being.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
• Assist teachers in documenting student progress and communicating with parents to keep them informed.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
  
  

Who We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher’s license or certification with a bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a teacher assistant or similar role.
• A strong understanding of the Finnish Approaches to Learning (or a compatible international curriculum) with a solid foundation in core subjects.
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
• The ability to create a stimulating, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with fluency in English is essential.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Experience working in an international school (preferred).
