On the 10th of March 2023, Finnway International School Phuket held its sports day event, and it was a huge success. We would like to thank all the students, teachers, and parents who made this event possible and contributed to its success.
The sports day event was a great opportunity for our students to showcase their athletic abilities and teamwork skills. It was a fun-filled day, with a variety of different activities and games for students to participate in, including fun relay races, and an obstacle course. Students were divided into different teams, and they worked together to compete and earn points for their team.
The parent and child three-legged race was a long-awaited event, and it did not disappoint. The race brought together parents and their children, and the competition was fierce. There were lots of laughs and smiles as the pairs of parents and children tried to coordinate their movements to cross the finish line.
The teacher/parent tug of war was another highlight of the day. Both teachers and parents were determined to win, and it was clear from the start that this was going to be a fierce competition. It was an exciting and closely contested event!
The students were not content to simply watch from the sidelines, and they requested a teacher/student tug of war. The determination displayed by our students was impressive, and it was clear that they were not going to let the teachers have all the fun. The teacher/student tug of war was a hard-fought battle, but in the end, it was the students who emerged as the winners.
It was amazing to see the level of enthusiasm and energy displayed by our students during the sports day event. They demonstrated great sportsmanship and encouraged each other to do their best, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day.
Sports days are about more than just competition and winning. They are also about having fun, being active, and developing skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Each child received a medal for participating and there were 4 team trophies up for grabs.
The “Outstanding Achievement” award went to the Yellow Team.
Congratulations to the yellow team, who received this award for their success in the sports day events! Finishing top in most of the events and earning the most points. This is certainly an impressive achievement, and the Yellow Team should be proud of their hard work and dedication.
Receiving an award like this is not only a great honour, but it can also be a source of motivation and inspiration for all students. It shows that hard work and dedication pay off, and that they are capable of achieving great things.
This is not just a reflection of the Yellow Team’s individual achievements, but also of the teamwork and support that they received from their peers, teachers, and parents.
The “Terrific Teamwork” award went to the Blue Team

The “Super Spirit” award went to the Red Team
