Phuket, Thailand – March 8, 2024 – Finnway International School, Phuket held a vibrant and engaging sports day themed around the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics Games. The event took place at the Gymnasium, where students, parents, and teachers came together to celebrate athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The day kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony, featuring the lighting of the torch by Finnway’s own student athletes. Participants then warmed up with an energetic Zumba dance, setting the stage for a day of friendly competition.

The event also included a cheerleading performance by class representatives from Pre-K to Grade 5, adding an extra element of excitement and school spirit.

The sports day featured a variety of fun games and activities, including races and challenges for pre-K, kindergarten, and primary students. One of the highlights was the friendly matches between students and parents, as well as parents and teachers, showcasing the importance of physical literacy and motor skills development.

At the end of the day, participants gathered for a medal presentation and trophy celebration. Five special trophies were awarded, each with its own unique meaning:

– Terrific Teamwork Trophy: Commending the exceptional collaboration and camaraderie of the outstanding team, whose seamless coordination and mutual support added a spirit of unity and teamwork to every event.

– Inspirational Inventors Trophy: Awarded to the team that demonstrated ingenuity and inventive spirit, showcasing unique and innovative approaches that went beyond winning races.
