At Finnway International School, we believe that learning extends far beyond textbooks and classrooms. On Thursday, 9 October, our Primary students experienced this first-hand during our Team Building Morning a day dedicated to connection, communication, and collaboration.
A Morning of Teamwork and Laughter
Throughout the morning, our students took part in a series of fun and engaging activities designed to encourage teamwork and strengthen relationships across year groups. From the Balloon Relay and Treasure Hunt to the Tower Challenge, Puzzle Basket Challenge, and Back-to-Back Drawing, each activity presented a new opportunity for students to work together, problem-solve, and celebrate one another’s efforts.
Laughter and encouragement filled the air as teams collaborated to complete challenges, demonstrating perseverance, creativity, and mutual support. Whether they were building the tallest tower or guiding a partner through a drawing exercise, students embraced the spirit of collaboration that defines our Finnway community.
Connecting Through Our Pillars of Wellbeing
This event was part of our ongoing focus on the Finnway Pillar of Wellbeing “The Way We Connect”, and our Learner Profile focus on Collaboration. Both play a vital role in helping our students understand the value of communication, empathy, and teamwork essential skills not only for academic success but also for life.
By creating opportunities for students to connect with one another in supportive, playful environments, we nurture a sense of belonging and strengthen the bonds that make our school community so special.
A Team Effort Behind the Scenes
A huge thank you goes to Teacher Briane and Teacher Kayla for their thoughtful planning and organisation, as well as to all our Primary staff who led the activities throughout the morning. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork ensured that every station ran smoothly and that students had a memorable and enriching experience.
Looking Ahead
We are so proud of our students for the positive energy and teamwork they displayed throughout the day. Events like this remind us that at Finnway, education is about more than academic achievement — it’s about how we connect, collaborate, and grow together.
We look forward to many more opportunities for our students to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and continue developing the essential skills that prepare them for life both in and beyond the classroom.
